Abstract

In response to comments on pedagogical, epistemological, and semiotic issues in the original paper, there is further discussion, some clarification, and further suggestions on refutationism, linguistic data, and “bottom-up” perspectives, especially in relation to micro-level anomalies and the integration of perspectives. Critical reflection and openness to alternative views are emphasised.
