Abstract

In 2019, the open access publishing services were complemented by new publishing venues at the University of Helsinki. There are three services for OA publishin at the UH: Helsinki University Press (HUP), Helda Open Books and Editori. HUP, a scholarly open access publisher of peer-reviewed publications, released its first journal (Redescriptions) in December. As a part of UH's open repository Helda, Helda Open Books collection for interesting and significant monographs was launched in the fall. In the spring, the editorial journal service Editori was launched – Editori offers opportunities for open access journal publishing as well as teaching. Open access publishing services were created by the Open Access HUB Project at the University of Helsinki Library; the project period ended at the turn of the year. (Juuso Ala-Kyyny)
