Opin.fi launched – the service brings together open courses from 37 higher education institutions

Abstract

In spring 2025, higher education institutions launched the Opin.fi service. Opin.fi brings together open courses in one place for the first time. The aim of the service is to make higher education more accessible to all people in Finland at different stages of their lives. The service is available in Finnish, Swedish, and English and includes open higher education courses and other content, such as public lectures, podcasts, and open educational resources. The Opin.fi service is part of the Digivisio 2030 project launched by Finnish higher education institutions with the aim of strengthening lifelong learning and skills in Finland. 37 higher education institutions are participating in the project.
