Abstract

The Stem Cell Portal, an open educational resource (OER) at the University of Helsinki, provides basic information on stem cells and gives the public the opportunity to ask more about the subject from experts. And there is certainly a need to share information, as there is a lot of misinformation about stem cells and stem cell therapy. One of the main reasons for setting up the website was to counter misconceptions by providing accurate information. In this blog article, Emilia Kuuluvainen, one of the creators of the portal, discusses the development of the Stem Cell Portal.
