Chemistry-based industry in Finland now and in the future

Abstract

To solve the most significant global problems of today, competence in chemistry and other natural sciences is needed. Chemical industry of Finland creates solutions for global challenges and provides career opportunities for top-class professionals. The challenge is to get enough competent workforce for the field of chemistry. The youth’s image of the field and its requirements is not necessarily realistic. By opening doors to working life and actively networking with chemical companies, teachers can provide their students with more information on the different possibilities in the field.
